A first release should cover one workflow and one user group. Add adjacent cases after the first version meets its success metric.
Reviewing the brief
Share the completed brief with the process owner, an engineer and whoever is responsible for risk. Agreement on the success metric and out-of-scope list prevents most later disputes.
